Rhythm Road: American Music Abroad 2010

Jazz at Lincoln Center and the U.S. Department of State’s  Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs have once again organized a set of  FREE concerts available in Washington D.C. The performances will cover a variety of genres including jazz, gospel, hip-hop, blues, bluegrass, and Americana/pop. The musicians performing will also be traveling for the spring and summer to countries not regularly visited by American musicians. The Rhythm road was created to share America’s unique contribution to the world of music and to promote cross-cultural understanding and exchange among nations worldwide.

In Washington, D.C. these free concerts will be held at the National Geographic Society’s Grosvenor Auditorium located at 1600 M St. NW, Washington, D.C.

November 4, 2010

6:00 pm Paul Beaudry and Pathways (jazz)
7:15 pm Turning Pointe (gospel)

December 2, 2010
6:00 pm Nasar Abadey and SUPERNOVA (jazz)
7:15 pm Johnny Rodgers Band (americana/pop)
